Why FastStream High Speed Fiber-Optic Internet?

Fiber-Optic infrastructure is future proof because fiber has nearly unlimited bandwidth. With simple equipment upgrades bandwidth can be drastically increased as needed without rewiring the property.

Why is it better than cable Internet?

Beware of solutions that are using outdated coax cables and that have slow upload speeds. All cable modems have an inherent problem in that once the upload speed is maxed out, the download speed will drop to next to nothing and latency will skyrocket. This will happen nearly every time your large videos and photos are uploaded to the cloud. This is the main reason for the “what are you doing on your computer, my Internet just got really slow”.

FastStream High Speed Fiber-Optic Internet Service is symmetrical, meaning that the download and upload speeds are the same. Many other providers limit your upload speed to about 1/5 of your download speed. With all the cloud activities, like cloud backups of video and photos, upload speed is just as important as download speed.

Using our in house engineered and developed FastStream routers, problems with multiple devices uploading and downloading at full speed are eliminated. Even if you were to max out your upload speed on one device, it will not affect other devices in your household.

How is our service better for security cameras?

Most cable Internet connections have very slow upload speeds and cannot handle the viewing of more than a few high quality security cameras over the Internet at the same time. Because FastStream has symmetrical bandwidth, you will have plenty of upload speed to adequately view your security cameras.

Got Game?

FastStream High Speed Fiber-Optic Internet Service has very low latency which allows for a seamless gaming experience without the dreaded lag.

Bulk Rate TV? Not So Fast!
Most cable companies offering a so called bulk rate include basic cable and maybe a few other channels. They allow you to upgrade your package, but fail to inform you that once you do, you no longer are getting a bulk rate! For example, if you have Package A with a bulk rate price of $50 and a regular retail price of $100, but you want Package B that has a retail price of $150. Logic would say that you should only be charged the difference between Package A and Package B retail price. But cable companies logic is that you lose your bulk discount when you upgrade the package so instead of paying $50 for the upgrade, you pay $100 monthly for the upgrade. They claim that you are only paying $50 now and the new package is $150 so you owe $100! So much for the bulk discount!

Cutting the cord? No more long term bulk TV contracts!
FastStream High Speed Fiber-Optic Internet Service is perfect for cord cutters. Cable TV is so 90’s. In today’s world, nearly every Smart TV made has built in capability for OTT (Over the Top) streaming media. This was made popular by Netflix and has transitioned into the live TV arena.

The last thing you want to do is be locked into a long term bulk rate TV contract because the TV market has drastically changed and continues to change. Remember when you went to watch your favorite channel only to find out that your cable provider no longer has it or they are “negotiating” a new agreement for that channel, meanwhile you can’t watch it? Or the dreaded, “I’m sorry but that channel is no longer available with your package, but for $$$$ you can upgrade and get your channel back.” All of the OTT services are month to month, less expensive and better than cable TV packages. Many of the OTT services have unlimited cloud DVRs which allow you to record your favorite programs without worrying about running out of space. Best of all, these OTT services have no long term contracts.

OTT services include YouTubeTV, Directv Now, Hulu Live TV, PlayStation Vue, FuboTV and Sling TV. No longer do you need a cable box to watch your favorite channels LIVE! ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, ESPN, TNT, Showtime, and nearly every other channel that is available through traditional cable TV is available through these OTT services. Cable boxes are heading down the path of 8-Tracks, cassette tapes, CDs, DVDs, etc.

For those that don’t have a smart TV there is a simple, cost effective solution. Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Nvidia Shield, or Chromecast will turn any TV into a smart TV for a one time purchase of about $30 – $40.

We feel it is a better solution for the consumer to choose which TV services they would like and for however long they would like rather than tying them down to a long term contract.
